So, a little bit about me….
Hello! My name’s Marina, and I am a fully qualified and experienced Pilates Instructor…I warmly welcome you to my Pilates classes…I really look forward to meeting you and helping you toward your fitness goals.
So why choose Pilates? Well in short because it works! Whatever your current situation with your fitness I promise you, Pilates can make a real difference. I know this from personal experience… I had long suffered with a lower back injury which plagued my life from my early thirties onwards…It was often so debilitating that it left me completely housebound, unable even to get out of my chair without a great deal of pain and difficulty…After lots of doctor’s appointments I managed to see an excellent back professional who helped me become mobile again albeit in a precarious and fragile way. So I understand what it feels like to be scared to do anything that might upset an old injury… I was advised that keeping active was key to keeping me from relapse, and was recommended to do swimming and cycling…so I did…and still do! I love these activities… there’s nothing more exhilarating than being surrounded by nature while whizzing through the country lanes on my mountain bike on a sunny day… or being immersed in aqua blue water for a moment of blissful solitude. So all credit due…these forms of exercise really did help, … However, when it came to alleviating my back problem…nothing compared to how Pilates transformed my strength and mobility. I’m aware that the weakness the old injury has left me with will always be there in the background… and so I have to be sensible…definitely no bungee jumping for me!… but nowadays I hardly think about it anymore… I can go about my life with a certain amount of confidence…and this is all down to making Pilates practice a regular part of my life.
